Zanskar Valley Expedition

The hidden valley of Ladakh

Trip Overview

Embark on an extraordinary adventure through the remote Zanskar Valley, one of the most isolated regions in the Indian Himalayas. This 11-day expedition takes you through dramatic gorges, high mountain passes, and pristine landscapes that few travelers get to experience. Zanskar, a sub-district of Kargil in the union territory of Ladakh, is known for its rugged terrain, ancient monasteries, and traditional villages that remain largely untouched by modern influences. The region is cut off from the rest of the world for more than six months a year due to heavy snowfall. Our carefully planned route takes you from Chandigarh through Manali to Jispa, then into the heart of Zanskar Valley, continuing to Kargil before returning via Manali. You'll visit ancient monasteries perched on hillsides, cross challenging mountain passes, drive along the Zanskar River, and experience the unique culture and hospitality of the Zanskari people.
